Why no Alonso hype?

Revitorlose 24 April 2005 21:04:20
Martin Brundle told us all weekend how well the Ferrari was going and having
the best turn in abilities of the whole field, and with a great strategy by
Brawn and Schumacher taking advantage of back markers and good track
position gains an incredible amount of places from 1 pit stop.
And gets driver of the race for finishing second after the fastest man of
the weekend and leader of the race retires.

There was virtually no praise for Alonso by comparison, all we heard was how
the 'Renault' is holding off Schumacher because it has good torque.

Imagine MS in the renault with Alonso behind the the Ferrari. MS would be
straight into the wall with that pressure.

I agree Alonso showed extra cool under pressure which MS would not have
equalled. No wonder Ferrari want him. Imagine if he had had the Ferrari and
not MS. Well, imagine that any of them had had such a fast car. MS looks
good because the car is good. Indeed, drivers mostly only look as good as
the car they are in.

MS drives like no other, he's so consistently on the limit, no other driver
can match that.

He's raced alongside the man: he knows how good he is.
