Schumacher cheated with oil

THealanp 23 April 2005 15:54:03
Sentenna PPV said Schumacher used special light qualifying oil to gain more
bhp in qualifying. The reporter in the pits said Rubens did not use this
oil and nothing was drained from his car like it was on Schumacher's.
Rubens 6 tenths down, without equal equipment.

Oh dear, you poor little retard. Close your mouth and open your ears. You'll
find it makes all the difference.

Even funnier to have you think that.

I refer you to my previous advice. You're just humiliating yourself with
this nonsense.

Why use different oils if there is no advantage?

Apparently the lighter "qualifying oil" allows an extra few BHP. It must be
replaced with the "race spec oil" after Q1.

Did they also say that it's allowed to change the oil between Q1 and Q2?
Allowed, under the rules, and therefore not actually cheating.

Does this mean, then, that the qualifying performance can be taken as
having been better than the race performance will be?

How come they can't use the same oil for the race? Is it just that it
wouldn't last for the whole race but gives them some sort of extra oomph
to get them slightly higher up the grid than they would otherwise be?
And is anyone else using anything similar?

Not even a suggestion of impropriety, really.

Indeed, much like changing the odd engine part under the stewards'
supervision last year.

Wrong. There were regulations designed to prevent qualifying spec
engines last year which were clearly violated by MercLaren.

They probably ARE using the same oil for the race, with the engines needing
to last 2 races wouldn't it make sense to change to fresh, clean oil
whenever there's an opportunity?

They probably ARE using the same oil for the race,

So in your opinion Ferrari were lying/pulling the legs of the ITV pit crew.

Probably not that uncommon.
