How Wide Was Webber's Car?

Aussie Blocker 4 April 2005 20:15:00
That was a really wide ride he was peddling around yesterday. It must have been
illegally wide. Possibly it was one of the old chassis, but with grooved tyres.
I would estimate it was at least 4 meters wide, because no one could get by
easily.

He wasn't fast enough to keep anyone behind, but that doesn't matter if you are
an Aussie (NZ) with an attitude problem.

It looked like a brilliant example of defensive driving to me.

Maate we'll lay claim to Dixon and McLaren and Hulme and Amon but I
don't know that we can claim this fella.

I know you are an Aussie and have to defend him at any cost to your objectivity,
and I agree with your assessment, but it puts him in the category of being a
blocker, a moving chicane...nothing more or less.

Incredibly, "Aussie Blocker" <wide.ride@bahrain.com> managed to sputter:

Didn't see the race myself... I haven't had the energy to stay up of a
Sunday night, and won't be watching any until we get Foxtel IQ (I think
the Australian equivalent of TiVo)

I went for a nap before the race, then couldn't wake up, but from what
i've read and heard, it was deemed as a classic fight for position
with neither driver making any bad moves.
I'd love to see a video of it, when/if someone can bang it online.

That was the ONLY brilliant example of his driving this year. Seems to me
that Mr. Webber suffers from over-hype as well as a slow car. Too bad
Heidfeld didn't get to finish the race.

That is precisely what he was doing. Nothing to defend.

So multiple changes of direction are ok, as long as you don't drive
a red car with the initials MS. got it.

de la Rosa was quite impressive. One can only imagine how many
pieces of carbon would have been scattered over the track if
pinball had been in the same position for so long.

Wait, what? Billions of people think Webber wasn't putting on double
moves? Man, this sport is way more popular that I thought.
