Well... apart from money that is.>
Gee... if they just all acted together.>
My two here :
4)Everybody changes tires and refuels at that time
Money problem solved as well:
5)All number "one" from the teams line up for finishing firsts and all
number "two" seconds this will take care for the penalty and everything
else :)

Opps, something else :
Since the teams want to have an official record , signed and sealed by
all the participating parties in the race , the finish will be actually
, just the teams are going to know this, a lap before the official
end of the race. The last lap will be the formation lap for the reasons
mentioned in my previous post.
BTW I do not oppose using slicks as well .
Then let's see ! :)

Even if it did happen, we all know which team would be the odd one out
running to the FIA, crying foul with a pen in hand..

Was just watching RPM(a local motor sport show) and they've had a
report on the MotoGp testing session. They did their testing, then had
a 30 minute shootout with the prize being a car for the fastest lap.
Can you see this bunch of bickering morons we call F1 teams, do this ?
nah..

btw, Gibernau[sp?] got the fastest by half a second. Hayden ,Biaggi
and Tamada up there too, Rossi was struggling a bit with the new bike,
but still got 5th or 6th. Looks like it'll be a good season again.

Bernie wouldn't allow it, unless he got to keep the car.

The problem with F1 is really all in one place, yet people love to
whine about all the peripheral bits instead.

Nigel Roebuck used that as the subject of a Fifth Column a while back,
when I still read Autosport (when the single-engine per weekend rule
came in).

IIRC in that one the situation was reversed, he had the teams agree to *not*
change engines between qualies. Then on the day Stoddy changed engines, he
has people's livelihoods and families to think of... :-)
