So what was his best finish in the Jaguar?

Webber's overrrated. Been so since Jaguar (in which he didn't actually
shine, especially when you look at DC's performance in what is
essentially the same car).

It's a whole new car along with a significant horsepower increase over last
year.

Hardly a whole new car, any more than any of the others on the grid.
And Webber is, IMO, grossly overrated... however, I'm happy to let this
season show one way or the other.

Last year Australia's own Roy and H.G. had dubbed Webber "The DNF
Maestro" for his performances last year. No bones about it, the car was
a bucket - the only thing of note being that Webber out qualified and
outperformed his partner Klein at every race. I think you could say his
best result was putting the Jag on P2 at the Grid in Malaysia last
year.
But I'm with you, I'm just glad he's in a decent car and can have the
chance to prove himself, one way or the other.

Now that's just silly. Aside from Fisi drifting into him, when has NH
outperformed Webber, Ric? I expect you're just stirring the pot.

(I am a fan of Nick's and am very happy he got the drive.)

There is no lead driver at Williams, Ric. It's just a coincidence that
Webber did indeed lead Heidfeld in both races so far..

Probably down to a favourable qualifying slot both times, I suspect.
Next time should be interesting.

Plus on top of that Webber destroyed Pizzonia's reputation in 2003. Before
that season Pizzonia was highly regarded and was tipped by many to be the
more successful driver of the two.

Williams, lead driver?

Perhaps it's a reference to the supposed excessive weight of JPM last
year? I mean, lead is rather heavy...

Do Williams have a "lead driver" policy? In what way?

Rumour has it Nick is on a race-by-race contract... And Nick had to do the
shoot-out thing against Pizza-boy to get his drive... So yeah, I'd say
Webber is at least designated 'team-leader' if nothing else... Nick seems to
be there as a stop gap, until Button shows up... Shame really, as Nick is
looking more promising than Webber, IMO.

Maybe pre season, but when the race starts, it is not a traditional
Williams policy to have a #1 & #2 to the point of hobbling one of their
drivers to make way for the other, except in exceptional circumstances.
The "lead driver" is whoever is ahead. And as the season progresses, if
Nick is the one bringing home the bacon, only contractual obligations
will be the deciding factor as to who stays and who goes, and not some
arbitrary #1/#2 policy.

Of course N.H should be Williams #1 driver. After being out
qualified 2 out of 2 races, well could even say 4 out of 4 laps, and all
things being equall if both Williams drivers were not taken out of the race
would have finished behind his team mate 2 out 2.

Yeah obviously Nick should be the #1 driver..... hehehe

2 years IIRC. But I'm sure the relevant clauses are in place.
