Gascoyne

Anyone else think he's in deep doodoo with this car?
The 105 was slow from the outset, and the recent aero makeover has been
underwhelming. Gascoyne's already spent pots of Toyo money and plans to
spend *much* more throughout the season, but despite this the team
really have NOT got their act together.

Look at this from Valencia (pitpass.com)

"Olivier Panis was hit by flu, which resulted in Jarno Trulli having to
take over the sole Toyota TF105. The Italian suffered a bizarre problem
in the morning, when, through no fault of the hapless driver, bits of
bodywork fell from the car, necessitating a return to the pits. Such an
incident will be most unwelcome next week."

Unbelievable.

...I've met two guys who were at Oxford with Gascoyne, I know one of
them rather well: They have no kind words for the guy, and many I
dare not repeat in a family newspaper.

Your wiping their floors morphing bigot? BTW your 'new' moniker is
false since there were 18 races last year.

So how many years did it take MS and Ferrari to become what they are?

It has been stated that Ferrari has a yearly budget well above $300M (more
likely $350-400M or more) and since Toy. is the most profitable car maker
in the world, they can afford a F like budget, and just like F, it will
take years even after the 'correct' good engineering team is in place to
get a great package in place!

This should be obvious to any serious F1 fan, it's a team yes?

It reminds me of their early years in Champ Car, before they made CART
change the rules for them so they could win.
