Thanks for posting that -- a good obit for a man with a long and very
varied career in and out of racing... right from Bugattis pre-War to BRM
V8s against the likes of Clark, Gurney, Surtees etc.

Given that there were no Ferraris in '45, and no Monaco GP, yes, you're
right ;P

Or was it there was a Ferrari team but cars were Alfa-Romeo?

No. It was a typo for 1955. Scuderia Ferrari ran the works Alfas for a
spell in the 30s, before they were taken back in house as Alfa Corse.
