So, if Alex Shnaider wants to succeed in F1, he has a choice: he can > be like Chip Ganassi or he can be like Eddie Jordan.>
It will be interesting to see which way he goes.

Thoughtful post. I remember having a conversation about Eddie one time
with someone in Montreal during the GP weekend. She was quite upset
that he was only in it for the glory. I honestly thought Jordan was
serious about it all and well, guess I was wrong.

Does Shnaider's Midland Group really know what they're doing? Yes, I
think so and he won't be like Chip or Eddie, it'll be a whole new world.
I think they're rich and also dedicated. We're looking at a winner...

Hmmm, coming from the guy who picked St. Louis for the SuperBowl...
remember?

I also thought about that one and I can only assume Norris McDonald
thinking at marques and ignoring engines.

You may have noticed that he says "It is 38 years later and only two of those
famous marques are still in business: Ferrari and McLaren".

So he was only referring to marques, which makes sense in terms of the article
he's written.

Just to answer my own question, Bruce Mclaren put his name on a BRM.

Put a BRM engine in a McLaren chassis, more like.

The first F1 McLarens raced in 1966. So to answer your own question,
all you had to say was "Yes".

Wasn't it the interim F2-based car that Black Jack crashed?>

No, it was the M5, which had a similar (but bigger!) tub to the M4,
but the BRM V12 in the back instead of the Tasman-spec V8.
