Ferrari and the FIA meet

Peter 27 January 2005 13:14:32
There is a meeting of the FIA and the F1 teams on Friday with only
Ferrari scheduled to show.
At least it will give them chance to polish up their new regulations and
for Ferrari to collect their 40 pieces of silver.

All of the teams are invited and able to attend, quite unlike the
recent gang of 9 meeting, shitsack.

Indeed only Ferrari did turn up for a two hour meeting with the FIA to
decide on rule changes.
"We gleaned a great deal of useful information, probably more than if
we'd had the others here"

I bet they did.

It's an incredible strategy by the other teams. Any meeting where Ferrari
are scheduled to attend they don't show up at, yet they'll schedule their
own meetings to sign biased agreements and of course Ferrari is not invited.
If they end up getting fucked over it will all be their own doing.
Hopefully it's true that BAR will reneg on the poorly thought-out testing
limitations, maybe we can all look forward to a good fair fight between
Michael and Jenson this year while Ron and Frank sulk.

FIA support Ferrari limit

Ferrari were right to snub a F1 pact to limit in-season testing to 30
days, the FIA's Max Mosley said. The Briton, after a quiet meeting
with the world champion marque in London last Friday, admitted that
Ferrari's own proposal to limit actual in-season mileage would be
better.

Mosley called the Group of Nine's plan 'flawed' because, to fully
exploit a day's running, teams would take more people - and more cars
- to a test. "And that becomes very expensive," he commented.

Max said: "It's a pity Ferrari's rivals didn't turn up at the meeting
to hear the other side. I think Ferrari are absolutely right."

Dead right. It is a much better idea..
On the other hand, i will always have a problem with regulating
testing in any way. An expenditure cap i would see useful, as this
whole thing is not really about the testing per se, rather the cost of
testing. But then, enforcing and policing a cap will be some doing..

Is this the stupid, moronic, fuckwit, mad and anti-Ferrari Max Mosley,
or did something change while i wasn't looking ?

History is made by those who show up.

Sad but true.

That's cool. Leave the wings, get rid of the diffusers or lessen their
effect, add a stick shift and perhaps a real clutch (perhaps with
launch control to avoid burnt clutches at the start).
Ooh, baby. Total wing bans, now we're getting somewhere!>
Yehah, Formula V is back ! ;-)

You're not serious? Formula Ford, with bigger engines? No thanks. Mad
Max should stand down now, before it's too late.
