Hakkinen I seem to remember was initially a little awkward in front of the cameras, but as his success in the car grew, so did his confidence in interviews. I know many people found Hakkinen a little too dour, but I always felt he had a subtle dry wit. I always enjoyed listening to his interviews.

Really? I can at least read and understand basic Italian, and I've never had a lesson, I just recognise the vocabulary from speaking Spanish and learning Latin for a year way back when I was 12. In my mind for an English speaker it's one of the easiest languages going; it's phonetic, so not many complications with pronounciation, and it's based on Latin, so the grammar is straightforward (subject, verb, object rather than German where the verb may or may not go at the end of the sentence). Maybe you need more practice with someone who speaks it? "Kimi's" a moron, it's not about language.
