Grattis Finland!

Superb performance by the Iceman. Now in a car that adds releability to
its speed, we may have some terriffic duels between him and Alonso ahead
of us....roll on the rest of the season!

Raikkonen drove a fantastic race today, it's difficult to see how it
could have been improved upon.

I think (assuming the McLaren revival contiues) that Montoya is going
to have to up his game to take some points off Alonso as currently
they are in their own race.

yet...

This could be the best season since 97 theres more than 4 guys that can win
a given race!

I did wonder as he drove away from his first stop if he was going to
fail to finish, again, but he made it - now, if they can be reliable for
more than one race in a row, we might have a fight on our hands.
Although if Alonso comes second every race he'll probably be champion, now?

Montoya had some unfortunate challenges today.
He was set to finish 2nd or 3rd at worst.
You see Ralf run him off the track at the start?
Then he got screwed by the pitcrew at the end.
He had 2nd fastest lap today behind Fisi.

True.
Alonso still holds a 27 point lead.

How can they battle when they are not even in the same car? Yesterdays race
reminded all of us that F1 is a team/car exercise first. Drivers battles are
done between teammates.

If you look very closely, you will se I used the term *duel*....not
"battle". And anyway, how can drivers "battle" when they are in the same
car? There is hardly room for one driver in an F1 cockpit, never mind two.
