 Didn't say you couldn't have 2.2L...just that a FWD 2.2L has different
casting of the block for the engine mounts. Haven't seen one yet fit into a
RWD application that came out of a FWD.

Didn't say they didn't come with 2.2L....just said that a FWD 2.2L has
different casting for the mounts and "usually" won't fit a RWD application.

Thanks for the input tho'.

You might start with a fuel pressure check when it will not start

I havea 99 Jetta and the engine cranks but doesnt turnover. It did it
before and i replaced the distributor and rotor and it started working
fine. But now it did it again. I already replaced the distributorcap and
rotor again and it still doesnt work. Could it be the timing jumped?

 Wrong group,

But..., check for spark first.
Use an old plug, take a plug wire off, insert old plug,
hold outside of plug against ground and have a friend
crank the engine.
Look for spark.
Hope that works on such a new car.

Should check for such a tool here, the only thing that

Depends a bit on the year.

77 - 87 (M30 E23) straight six ~3.5l
88 - 94 (M30 E32) straight six ~3.5l
95 - 01 (M62 E38) V8 ~3.5l
