Shorty headers do anything on 4.6?

Smoke 13 February 2005 18:53:18
 i have a stock 2000 gt 4.6 with magnaflow cat-backs. no other
modifications at all. i was wondering if shorty headers would do
anything for power or sound. the cat-backs made a very noticible
difference.
i am looking at FRPP headers. or BBK possibly.
i will keep the stock h-pipe. i don't like the sound of x-pipes.

There is an article about this including dyno results in the March issue of
5.0 Mustang&Super Fords. On a stock 04GT, dyno tests show that you will lose
a bit of bottom end torque, but gain a bit at high end.

thank you. i don't want to lose any low end power. it is starting to
look a little like it isn't worth the money or effort to change.
i wanted the exhaust a little louder.
