ABS issue related to transmission problem?

Reggie Dunbar 4 April 2005 22:48:26
 Hi there,

My 2004 Explorer (16,800k) has had a problem with dropping into reverse
since day one. It has sometimes taken 2-4 seconds to drop into gear from
park.

This past weekend my ABS light began randomly coming on and going off as it
pleased. Assuming that modern master cylinders and transmission shifting
still rely on vacuum hoses, could these problems be related?

Thanks!
