NPR's story on this brought up the topic during its story, so a few people
in the state still think this a concern. Personally, I can still remember
waiting in the dark for my school during the 70's flirtation with extended
DST. The other "big" concern was that network broadcasts would still be on
Eastern Time.
It makes sense, particularly with the idiotic idea in> Congress to make DST nine months long.

I hate the whole idea of DST, period. I've always suffered from a mild case
of Seasonal Affective Disorder and the fall time change has always screwed
me up. I never felt better than when I lived in Arizona.
