I-70 St. Charles County Missouri River Bridge construction

	VMS have been posted warning of the construction that is about to start on the EB span of the Blanchette Bridge over the Missouri river, connecting St. Charles & St. Louis Counties. Two lanes are going to be blocked at all times starting Sunday May 8. Work is (hopefully) going to be completed in the fall. The bridge is 5 lanes wide and the latest traffic counts for both directions is in the vicinity of 200,000. While I am sure the opening of the MO 364 bridge has taken some of the traffic off I-70 there's still plenty, so delays can be expected. The work will repair expansion joints, and probably some other stuff that they don't go into. 	MODOT has setup a site at <http://www.blanchettebridge.com> where you can monitor traffic speeds approaching the EB span of the Blanchette Bridge on I-70. It's still earlier in the project, but so far delays have been minimal. I haven't heard of any backups extending much further than just west of MO 94.
