Check with your state's Historical Commission for specifics; if it were
your area's first industry, or it was built on a site considered
historic for some reason, or the founder/s maybe had something to do
with local/county/state history...maybe I could see relevance for a
marker. There could be gray areas/fine lines involved.

If one were found to be applicable in any of your cases, who would be
the organizer of the research information to be sent to the Commission?
Would there be a price for the marker placement (Texas, for example,
charges like $800-1200 (?) for 1.) and who would come up with the $$ if
so?
