What's the deal with it? Why do you want to drive it (instead of another
arbitrary route)?

In AZ, old streets previously numbered routes that intersect a the current
state/US route often have "Old Highway XX" and "Old US/AZ XX"
interchangeably. In fact, US 93 has one of those in Arizona. I recommend you
go out and drive it and see if you come across one!

(I actually have no idea if Nevada has the same practice AZ does. Is this
common practice?)

 I do want to do a lot of the state routes in Nevada that run a long way
(plus all the US routes). I haven't ever driven US93 in Arizona, but it is
definitely on my wish list for Arizona. Some old US highways in Nevada wind
up as three digit state routes. Aaroads.com has a list of quite a few of
them. I think I've seen old US40 in Wells, Nevada, having a street sign
like "Old Highway 40" instead of a route number.
