VA-288. Open or not?

Magyarchitect 9 March 2005 20:33:01
Simple question. I'm heading from Charlottesville, VA to Suffolk, VA
tomorrow and would like to drive VA-288. Last time I went down I-64 the
exit for VA-288 was still marked "local traffic only" so i assumed it
was still under construction. Is it open to traffic yet all the way
from I-64 to I-95? Or is there still a gap between I-64 and Midlothian
Turnpike?

VA 288 is 100% open from I-64 to I-95

The final section of Route 288, 3.7 miles between US-60 and Lucks Lane,
opened to traffic on November 19, 2004. The entire highway has a 65 mph
speed limit.

VDOT has provided major signing on I-64 and I-95, to designate Route 288
as the preferred through traffic route in the Richmond area, for traffic
between I-64 west of the area and I-95 south of the area.
