My guess is that he simply failed to control his vehicle.

I flipped my car once. I was below the speed limit at the time.
Speed doesn't flip. Embankments flip.

(It WAS a blowout in my case; that didn't cause the flip, just the
loss of control leading to hitting the embankment which resulted in the flip)

I wasn't ejected either. Can't imagine why not, unless it had
something to do with the strappy thing all new cars have had for
almost a half-century...
