This is actually an interesting looking little pickup truck. I wonder
why Ford doesn't sell them in the American market?

Because ford refuses to sell most of their good products in the USA.
Afterall, most people will buy the crap, a few more have gotten used to
modifying the vehicles to fix ford's cheapness (mustangs).

Looks like ford is going to be up to their usual BS with the mustang
cobra. I've just grown sick of it.

At the autoshow they had a carrera coupe open for seating. I actually fit
in the thing. I think I should go test drive one. (a used one of course,
provided the prices are right, I don't feel like paying $75K for a new car)

Yep. After two Cobras that had lame problems due to cost-cutting, I've
given up on Ford. I own a Chevy now. ;)

Sort of like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.....

Well, after owning an Acura and a BMW, I learned the lesson that even
the Japanese and German carmakers a) have some problems with quality,
and b) will try as hard as possible to avoid stepping up to the plate
and taking care of their customers. So I really have nothing to lose
by buying American.

So far, my Chevrolet ownership experience has been exemplary. ;)

You should have stopped while you were ahead. ;)

Automobile manufacturers learn quickly that Americans will accept crap.
Quality doesn't pay.

Don't assume I buy into the nonsense that imports don't break just because I
find GM's cost cutting even more severe than fords. Cost cutting doesn't
always cause a breakdown either. It could just be something that degrades
the vehicle's performance. For instance, ford's use of big rubber
bushings in the rear suspension of the SN95 mustang instead of proper
spherical bearings. The rubber bushings don't cause any breakdowns, but
they hurt the car's handling.
So far, my Chevrolet ownership experience has been exemplary. ;)

Give it time.
