Car dealership need my title on trade-in?

	Does a car dealership want the actual physical title to a vehicle on a trade-in or do they just copy it for proof and obtain their own title and you take the original home? Also, is it common for dealerships to mail you the title on a used car you just bought from them? I'm new to all this and I'm getting all the facts. Thanks.

I don't know about them giving you a title after you buy a used car. I never bought a used car from a dealer. I know that if I was in a trade and buy situation, I would get everything in writing first and I would not give them title to my trade in until I got the title to the used car I bought. -------------- Alex
