Colin MCrae Rally 2005 - Steering lag

 This game is unplayable because it takes like 0.5 second to process a
new steer position from the controller. So I cannot keep the car
straight. I've searched around and people are complaining. I haven't
found any fix for this. Can someone help me out? Richard Burns Rally
works perfectly.
