No Force Feedback effects with NSR

Pw 6 March 2005 04:04:23
 Hi,

I am using my brand new MOMO FF wheel. I set the maximum effects in
the control panel and in the game but am getting NO force feedback
effects.

Any ideas?

Try to set it up as a JOYSTICK in the game--thats what worked for me.
I have a MOMO Force, and am not using the Wingman software.

In the game, you should be able to choose wheel FF effects and since it
is a logitech, you need to use NEGATIVE values. So -90% not 90%.

The group will correct me if I'm wrong, but setting in game to max with a
momo disables ff. set to high, and yes use the joystick setting, its much
better.

cheers
steve

Tried it and Larry's suggestions also.

I don't see where that is possible in the game Dave.

Sorry!

Its a checkbox to reverse forces in the controller setup menu to and I
think all Logitech wheels need the forces reversed.. How do thing look
in the windows Game controller screen? Do you have more than 1 USB
controller hooked up?

Got ya.
How do thing look in the windows Game controller screen?

The wheel is controller id # 1, if that is what you mean. And FF is
selected.
Do you have more than 1 USB controller hooked up?

Yes. I have my CH Fighterstick, Pedals, Throttle (all non-FF) and
Logitech Wingman Gamepad.

I will try another USB port. I am using it via a hub and can not hook
it directly into a USB port. I don't want to disturb things :-)

All of a sudden (after trying reverse forces and a couple other
things) I felt a little FF after crashing into the wall, but nothing
on the grass. My old MS SW FF wheel had great FF effects.

Thank you!

Make sure you turn the damper all the way down in the Profiler. It covers
up all the FF effects.

Well, Dave is right but it's different in NSR :)

There is no - or +. Only + and a "Reverse Forces" option.

Set the Reverse Forces option to on for Logitech's (unless you are using the
Momo controller script that is running around. In that case they did it in
the script and you have to turn it off in the interface).

Okay Larry, I think that helped the last time.

Thanks,
