 I am looking for a fairly recent RX7 Miata with reasonable mileage and
an automatic transmission. I want to pay around 8 to 10k, and a
convertible is not wanted.

This is for my daughter who would like to use this as a daily driver in
Santa Cruz California.

I also have a 2002 Protégé LX with ~36k miles to sell or trade.

There is no such car.

The RX-7 is a rotary-powered car sold in North America between 1979
and 1995. You have 3 generations of RX-7 to choose from (between major
body/design changes.)

The MX-5 Miata a piston-powered car that has been a strong seller
(that has seen few major changes) since the late eighties.

Which vehicle do you have in mind?
