Look on the door jamb, under the striker. It is covered by a rubber boot.
If you carefully pry back the rubber boot from the base of the boot, you can
spray a light lubricant on the shaft of the switch and replace the boot. I
am generally not a big fan of WD-40, but it would work well in this
application.
