French Number Plates

Guest 9 May 2005 14:51:15
 Hi

Is there anywhere I can get some metal French plates made in the UK? (I
found a compnay that does German but thats no good, I got a French
registered car) I'm not going back to France for a while and Halfords
woun't make my plates as they wount accept a French registration
document, even though we're in the EU.

(Yes, I know about having to get UK plates after 6 months, but I'm only
in the UK for about 3 or 4 months, so this dosn't apply)

Thanks

What would a car repairer do if you had a crash in which the plate(s)
got smashed ? . Cant you get them made in France and posted to you .

Possibly try www.pl8s.co.uk - he makes BSAU145d legal pressed
aluminium plates ("New Vision") that are based on a French plate
making kit, so he might be able to help.
