Brake light and Tail light problem...

Guest 14 February 2005 10:32:07
We sure hope someone knows more than we do about this, because we have
tried everything we know...

Here is the info:
1988 Toyota Corolla, 1.5L, Auto, 4 Door

Dilemna:
1. Tailights do not light up when the BRAKE is applied
2. LEFT tailight stays on, AND in brighter brake mode, EVEN after the
car is turned off. RIGHT one goes out.

Notes:
1. All blinker lights, headlights work fine.
2. All fuses are checked and okay.
3. Battery has been replaced and is brand new.
4. Car is functioning properly otherwise, electrically as well.

Anyone got an idea where to start or where to isolate this?

Appreciate any help, thanks...

JD
