1958 Scotsman Wagon FS

Guest 29 April 2005 22:10:58
Advance Notice for anyone going to South Bend next weekend who may be
interested in a 1958 Scotsman Wagon: A non-SDCer I have known a couple
years will have his 1958 Scotsman Wagon for sale there. I saw the car a
couple months ago, and he will take $700 for it. It is presently in
Advance IN (NW of Indianapolis just north of I-74 on State Road 75).
You may talk to him before then if you'd like. His name is Todd Davis.
Phone numbers: (765)339-7206 (home) or (765)366-7225 (cell). I told him
I would post this to our NG.

He bought the car years ago with the cylinder head off for who knows
why. The car has been off the road 15-20 years? It has overdrive but no
radio. It has its share of cancerous rust, but not to such an extent
that it is only a parts car. Definitely salvageable if someone wants to
play with a 2-door wagon. Car was originally the greenish-blue but was
painted white a long time ago. It is a complete car; I can't see
anything missing.

Todd has his share of BS (you can tell him I said that <G>) but I think
$700 -or even less if you want to talk to him, but that's awfully
close- is fair enough for the car, wagons being what they are nowadays.
He wanted $1,500 for it when I was out there a couple months ago, but
has since gotten down to reasonable! (I pointed out to him that the '57
Scotsman wagon just on e-bay didn't draw the $1,500 opening bid and it
appeared to be a slightly better car.)

Or call me if you'd like to know more. Cheers. BP
