Speedster update

John Poulos 2 April 2005 23:40:47
I spent yesterday detailing and painting the chassis, today I
adjusted the valves and fixed the horns. The valves were fairly noisy,
but it was not Stan's fault, one adjusting screw was worn enough that it
would not hold a setting. While fixing that, I found there are at least
3 style screws for a V8, 51-54, 55-62?, 62?- on. I found the correct
screw and now you can barely hear it run except for a nice exhaust tone.

I'm almost done doing all I can to Stan's Speedster. I found the
correct third horn and shift knob in South Bend. BTW, Bo sold me the
horn, even gave me a deal on it. I guess time heals all wounds. <g>
