Nope, pigs are not used to separate the batches, they don't work as well
(for minimizing transmix) as not using them does and they really foul up
when reaching a pump station:

I work for this company in the link above. Basically we transport these
gasolines: boutique gas, generic/fungible reg and premium, and BP/Amoco
"water white". By making generous interfact cuts, we take extra care to
keep the BP clear. The terminal operator adds the additives and creates
mid-grade from the reg and prem.

methanol has some nice characteristics for racing engines, but it's low in
energy density compared to gasoline and very corrosive

You say separated with pigs? Are they live pigs or do you mean separated
with pork?
