 I bought a used 2001 KIA RIO with 45,000 miles. Had it for less than a
month. Took it to the dealer and they had it for 3 days. When we step
on the brakes at any time, it makes this loud "thumping" sound. Like
a flat tire sound. It’s coming from the front passenger side.

Of course it didn’t duplicate at the dealer. Now it’s starting to make
the noise again. The dealer said everything looks good, the brakes
look new.

Anyone ever heard or experience?

 yeah, same thing happened to my buddy, changing the brake pads solved his problem, his didn't look worn either.
