'97 Deville Heater / A C problem

Donald Roberts 26 April 2005 06:48:11
There is cool air coming out of the vents on the drivers side and
warm air coming out of the vents on the passenger side. It should be
cool on both sides. The car has a separate control for the passenger
side but I have switched it off.
The dash diagnostics show a code...ACM B 1341 C ...the list says that
means..."air mix door two movement fault " This looks like it might be
my problem.
Does anyone know how to find air mix door two and how to fix it ??
Any help will be appreciated.
Don

 Don...

I had a similar problem with my '99. If the same... the air mix door is
located behind the glove box. Remove the fuse to the airbags that is
probably located in the trunk before starting any work.

After removing the glove box you should be able to locate the air mix.
Sometimes these stick. Also You may want to check the climate control on the
passenger side door first to make sure it's working properly.

Also behind the glove box is what I believe is called the computer module???
There is a way to check that too but price wise you don't want that to be
the problem.
