Motorhome engine trouble

 I live in an area where the climate gets very cold during the winter
months. I just went out to start my motorhome up and take it for a quick
drive. I've been starting it 2 times amonth all winter long, and when I
went to drive it today, the following occured...
Stearing is rough and makes a whining noise
Engine won't shift to 3rd gear
Poor Fuel economy light is on and it idles really rough.

Any ideas what may be wrong?
