@ Chevrolet Classic Fleet?

Re 13 April 2005 01:16:23
 Hello There:

I have a question about the Chevrolet Classic Fleet.

I just rented one of those from Budget (I believe it is a
year 2005), and I like very much the way they drive plus it
gives good gas mileage. I would consider buying one.
I researched online with the GM dealers but they don't have
it for 2006, why aren't they building them anymore?
Is there any problem with them? When I look for reviews it
takes me to the Malibus. ???

Thank you for anything on the subject.

Regards,

Re.

The vehicle you know as the 2005 Chevrolet Classic was in 1997 through 2003
the Chevrolet Malibu. In 2004 it was renamed the "Classic" and designated
for fleet purchase only because Chevrolet introduced a new Malibu model.
They're decent enough vehicles. We have a 2000 model which has been
reliable. I can only speculate but they are probably being phased out
because fleet orders have dropped to the point where they're not
economically viable to make any more.

Al, you are probably right. The main thing I don't like about them is that
they seem to get real "loose" at about 80K klms and up. They are a
cheap car and it seems to show when they get a bit older.
