It could be a problem caused by cheap gas. It's nothing to do with the oil pump. What you need to do now is get the van in for proper diagnosis and repair. Guessing and throwing parts at it is an unreliable, expensive way to try fixing it. If you've been running cheap gas, especially cheap Canadian gas, it's likely your combustion chambers are thoroughly crudded-up and in need of cleaning.
