Crossfire discounts

Steverino 19 March 2005 01:04:13
I've seen dealers ads recently offering 10K reduction off the MSRP of the
Crossfire.

Has this car not sold well? It's not because it has a bad rep, is it? Or did
it not find its audience?

At 25K it would seem like a relative bargain- or is it? I never felt
confident plunking my money down on a Chrylser was a wise choice (even
though my grandfather worked for them most of his life). The Crossfire is
the first Chrysler that appeals to me from a styling POV, but before I
trudge on down to test drive one, I thought I'd get some opinions from
y'all.

Have a nice day!

It is actually an old Mercedes design with new sheet metal and the handling
is not the best. Plus many potential buyers don't fit in it.

I knew about the previous gen MB platform (like the Magnum and it's
variants) as Chrysler seems the public would be content to get MB castoffs.

I'd read about the lack of cabin room, I guess I have to try it and see for
myself.

Handling is supposed to be good according to R&T. How bad can it be, esp.
since it comes with rwd?

Just got one. Handles great - if you're comfortable with a fast responding
car. Don't sneeze on the interstate or you my find yourself 3 lanes over. At
5'11", 180 lbs, I fit very nicely into it, so does my 5' 1" wife. If you're
6' 6" and 250+, it will be a tight squeeze.
