Light trouble....

Ash 8 May 2005 12:48:29
 Hi All,

Went to use my UK 1999 323ci e46 coupe yesterday and on starting up the ABS,
Traction control and handbrake lights are all staying on............

Car runs and drives as normal otherwise.

Any ideas???

Thanks

Ash

A bad ground on the ignition switch will cause this type of problem. Bad
grounds in general can cause all kinds of weird, seemingly unrelated
problems. Have it checked out by someone who really understands BMW
electrical systems.

Oh yes. My E39 went in for an inspection with the bulb failure unit
indicating a rear light bulb gone. Came out of service with it still on.
Complained, and they apologised and changed it while I waited. Then
charged me 16 gbp for a 50p bulb.

In the UK, they treat you like fools - not royalty.
