Leaking GTV

Tony Rickard 7 May 2005 14:34:56
My wife's GTV has been leaking under heavy rain. The water drips onto the
pedals. I can only guess this is the windscreen leaking.

Tonight the sunroof leaked as well.

Any simple remedies - glass to rubber sealants or anything to try?

Wifey is starting to talk of car replacements as a solution and even
commenting on how nice some German cars are looking these days...

Urgent help needed!

Cheers
Tony

Don't know about the screen - nothing short of removal and re-seating
usually works for bonded screens.

For the sunroof, I'd try vaseline or baby oil on the rubber seals before
any other solution.

Yep. That's what Ferrari recommend (apparently) I've used it with moderate
success as well.

It's also worth checking that the drain tubes are not blocked and causing
water to build up in the recess.
