 Hi,

I recently bought a 1998 146 2.0 twin spark. The previous owner had a new
clutch and slave cylinder put in Dec (at a garage miles away from myself, so
popping in to get them to have a look is not really an option unless I know
for definate that their work is at fault). Unfortunatly I'm having problems
with the pedal. It doesn't seem to have much force so often it gets stuck
when I press it to the floor and doesn't return to the top.

There doesn't seem to be any obvious leaks on the slave or master cylinders.
The pedal *nearly* has enough force to make it on it's own, an elastic band
is enough to help it out. My intial thoughts are either it needs bleeding or
a weak spring.

I'd be very greatful for any advice/experience.
