I have a 1999 acura tl, i flushed the radiator and made sure there arent any leaks. i filled the radiator full and put coolant in the resevoir tank as recommended in the manual. after driving five minutes, the coolant in the resevoir tank is boiling and the heat and smoke starts to come out from under the hood. The fuse for the cooling fan relay is good, but both fans are not turned on when they are suppose to. any suggestions on what might be the problem??

Acura TL with Navigation? This feature gets the sun position
information from the Navigation System and directs the climate control
system to cools the driver more if the sun is on the left.
It may be a great feature in Arizona, but here in northern states
become a nuisance.
I seem to remember turning the feature one, but now I cannot find how I
did it.

In my manual, it says that there is a plug by the left tail light for trailer lights. I tore my trunk apart last night and found
it. The manual also says that you can buy a "converter" (adapter) from the dealership. When I went into the parts dept. of one
dealership, he didn't bother to check into it and said that the shop installing the hitch would probably have it. I forgot to
mention that the manual tells me to get it from the dealership.
Is this something that the hitch place (U-Haul, etc) or an autoparts store would carry or is this a dealership only part? If anyone
knows the specific part number, please send it.
I'll go check out another dealership later and bring my manual in with me.

ran a search here, and nadda.
Does anybody know where I can get free service manuals for both Acura's
and Honda's? I already know of a couple of sites(honda.icelord.net,
carfiche.com, and spoonhonda.com) And even though they have a large
selection, I'm still not able to find certain years.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly

Musiclink. I listen to audiobooks in my car (or I used to listen to
audiobooks in my car!) The Acura musiclink is absolutely horrible. I
went out and purchased a new 5th gen Ipod to try to get the system to
work. It is as bad and worse than described in this thread. Fbennett,
who did you speak with and how do I reach that person? I want my money
back. I appreciate your reponse.

| | Hi group! I lost the remote #1 on my 2005 RL, purchased a replacement
remote on eBay. Followed the generic programming procedure that came with
the remote. The new remote locks and unlocks the doors, opens the trunk,
but the keyless ignition switch does not turn/rotate, so I can't start the
engine without having to use the key.
Does anyone has the specific remote programming procedure for the 2006 RL?

I've been able to identify sources for affordable parts such as fuel pumps,
timing belt components, etc., locating a source for shocks and struts has
been quite frustrating. Are there any out there or are there some for other
vehicles that while, perhaps not a perfect match, are close enough to fit
without any perceptible performance concerns? Your experience and
perspectives with this are greatly apreciated.

have a question re: how to best clean the front grille.
I've noticed that they seem to spot badly and even running your finger
across a clean, dry grille leaves messy streaks. Not sure why they used that
type of material instead of chrome, but what is the best way to clean it?
My dealer told me that using 'baby naps', when the grille is still damp
after washing, cleans it like a miracle. I would think that using auto
detergent and water when I wash the rest of the car would work, but the
dealer says that the grille will streak badly. What does everyone use?

HID light, without moving the complete headlight case. How do you get there

just broke. Now it slides back and forth freely with no resisitance and I
can't control temp.
Will it cost an arm and a leg to fix b/c they have to take the dashboard
apart??
Also, car got broken into and they stole after-market radio. Now, the clock
doesn't work and dash lights don't light up when I turn on the lights.
HELP!!

not restored on the April 10, 2006 it had to be restored with an older
file SQL Data base File. It is for that reason this posting is placed
people who joined up for the soul purpose of posting there clubs were
lost. Amhosting a hosting company had numerous problems in there server
migrations and our clubs database was corrupted and the images lost, we
are asking for your help to restore not only the 15 new listings that
were lost but all of them. These clubs were added in March, the reason
the data base was not current was a security issue, and permissions
error they refused to fix. We could no longer login using MySQL
Administrator an application we use to back up are SQL Databases.
We are sick over the loss and numerous days and hours of time it has
taken to restore www.classiccarmall.net. When we approached the company
they told use they were busy fixing another clients SQL Database and
would get to us later WOW!
So we used what we had for back ups and this is what we ended up with!
We are now with a new hosting company all the car ad's were restored to
date if you find any ads missing pictures please inform us as to the ad.
You will be rewarded with a free ad of your own. Fortunately we had all
the cars backed up we asked the customers to go back and fix the
pictures. This was the result of the standard UNIX file limit of 2000
files in FTP
The two clubs that I found pictures on our server were

Our club listings were lost in the move to a new server so far only two
people have come back to list there clubs, there is no charge for club

we have learned a very important lesson that when a hosting company says
unlimited there is one.
We have now resolved this issue, and found a better hosting company with
more space, and more band width.
