| Integra 91 Drive'rs side windows motor John 16:20:13 |
| | The window's electric motor on the driver's side stopped working. I have removed the glass and the motor (not a simple job) and now I see that a piece of rubber, probably used as a clutch, located inside of the motor assembly, is in several pieces. Today is Saturday and the dealer is closed for the weekend but, I am sure they will not supply, only, that piece of rubber. He will sell only the complete assembly for a few hundreds of dollars.
Shell I surrender, or just bypass the clutch mechanism and make a solid connection? I know that I must be carefully and stop the power to the motor at the end of the travel or I may burn the motor.
Opinions please.

| MDX tire pressure????? John 11:05:13 |
| | Hello all:
I have a 2006 MDX Touring. The correct cold tire pressure as indicated on the panel of the drivers door says 32 PSI. The tires are the factory standard Michelin 235/65/R17. I checked the tire pressure with my digital gauge just a couple of weeks after I received the car from the dealer and they all indicated 42 PSI. I am pretty sure my gauge is accurate. Should I deflate these tires until it reads 32 PSI??? or is the indicated PSI on the door not accurate??
any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Any owners input would be greatly appreciated.

| No more RSX? Bk 10:11:28 |
| | I read on one of my lists that Acura is dropping the RSX after this year to 'move the line upscale'. They said a memo had gone out to the dealers with that information. Can anyone confirm/deny it?

| 2001 Acura RSX Mvarcola 02:41:16 |
| | I have a 2001 Acura RSX, it was lowered all professionally done. Now when I drive and hit a bump the front passenger side wheel sounds like it is going to fall off. It is of course not the tire, but would it be a control arm bushing or something like that. You here noises from both sides of the front but the passenger side is the worst. Can anyone give me and ideas please?? THANK YOU!!

| 93 Integra LS puff of white smoke/slipping Guest 16:00:54 |
| | I'm driving along and it takes a second for my 5-speed engine to realize it's in the gear it's in. When I was going up a slight hill and gunned it, my engine revved, but I stayed the same speed while I tried to utilize 2nd gear and get off the gas to try again all the while people behind me were gaining on me and the poor person behind me got a huge cloud of smoke in their face...car still works, but I'm scared it's going bye bye. Got 216K miles on it, but have changed the oil religiously... |

| 1998 Acura 2.5TL problems? Zach 04:37:23 |
| | Hey guys, I'm looking into trading in a bad trade that I made a little while ago (90 Accord EX for a 97 Chrysler LHS) and I'm thinking about getting a 1998 Acura 2.5 TL. I need to know if you guys have heard anything good or bad about these cars... I am going to have to make car payments for a while for the first time because of this, and it better be a good car. I love Honda and I wish that I had never disgraced myself with this bahemouth of a Chrysler piece of crap...
Thanks guys!

| Acura 3.2 TL 1996 Alarm Problem Mohsin Nadeem 21:25:37 |
| | Greetings!
I've weird problem with my Acura's security alarm from last few weeks (I know alarm was working fine a month ago). When ever the alarm goes off, it blows up the 20amp "Stop Horn" fuse under the hood right away and car doesn't start after that. Yesterday, I figured out a way to start the car atleast. I plugged in a 25amps fuse in place of 20apms "Stop Horn" fuse, but as I plugged it in, the Relay near the fuse started making ticking noise and car started honking. I unplugged the horn, but the ticking noise was still there. Then I pressed the door unlock//lock key on remote, which turned off the alarm system.
But problem is still there. If security alarm goes off in future, it'll blow up the fuse, and I've to do the whole thing again. Can anyone please suggest any possible solution to solve this problem or how can I just disable the security system. I help will be much appreciated.

| 2002 Acura 3.2 TL Check Engine Light Vsehgal18 21:09:01 |
| | Hello everyone - I have an '02 3.2 TL and just got back from a long 800 mile trip. Had the engine oil replaced and filters etc cleaned just before going on the trip, came back and now the check engine light is on. The cars got about 95K miles on it, had the 90K mile service and tranny replaced by Acura a couple of months ago (recall on tranny for this model apparently). Any ideas what might be going on before I take it in to a service shop? I've heard oxy sensors can cause this, but if there are any other things I can check prior, I'd appreciate the tips.
Thanks! Varun

I know I can bring the car to Acura but who has the time for that?
Where is the sensor and is there anything I can do? Also- Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

| Integra fails to unlock Your name 07:43:23 |
| | Hello group,
About a week after I bragged at the bar that my Y2k Integra SE is completely problem-free, I began to experience an issue with the hatch intermittently failing to unlock. It releases part way but not to the point that I can open it. So far I was always able to open it again after giving up, walking away and trying again in a few minutes. Has anyone else experienced something like this??

| 1990 Integra LS - driving lights ? MrMusic 05:22:37 |
| | My lights no longer come on when I start my car. Where can I find the "relay" or ? that controls this function. I would like to go to the local junker & pickup a replacement.
Is there an after-market replacement that turns on the HI-BEAMS rather than low. I heard that was how they worked in later years when the bulbs kept burning out too often. Thanks.

| Transmission Possible Damage in Locked Position Don F 07:12:08 |
| | I have an Acura 2002 3.5 TL which I normally keep in my garage in the Park (transmission locked) position and the emergency brake off. My wife came home from shopping last week and left her Honda in drive when she exited the car to get the paper. When she noticed the car was moving, she jumped inside and promptly stomped down on the gas pedal instead of the break pedal. She pushed my Acura into the back of the garage and caused considerable damage to my front end. Here is what puzzles me. My tires left no skid marks which means my wheels had turned when she pushed the Acura into the back of the garage. How is this possible with the transmission locked? Can this cause same future damage to the transmission? You all know that the 2002 Acuras had the dreaded transmission problem and were re-called for a fix. Thanks for any ideas or help you may have. Don

| 98' Acura TL makes clicking noise when idle coast 600Burger 04:38:26 |
| | I recentlly noticed a random clicking sound (random and sparatic, not like valves) that is only present when im coasting with my foot off the gas. As so as I touch the gas, even the slightest bit, the noise stops. Engine was warm when the problem was noticed. Temp reads normal, normal revs at all points.
Also, perhaps related, when I put the AC on it will run fine for a bit then make a horrible sound like a dying girrafe (if you saw the south park movie its almost exactly that sound).

| Check engine code Bk 22:42:04 |
| | My '03 RSX base had the 'check engine' light come on Saturday. I had it checked at AutoZone, and the code was "P1078". They said it was a proprietary code with Acura and I'd have to go to a dealer to have it checked out. I called the dealer and they wouldn't tell me anything over the phone, but said it was ok to continue to drive it unless 'driveability suffered'. I reset the light, and have put over 100 miles on it without the light coming on again. I did some research and found that the code means "P1078 Intake Mainfold Runner Control (IMRC) System Malfunction (High rpm)"...but don't know what that really means in English. Anyone help?????

| | I'm so excited. This will be the first time ever that I've bought a new car and its going to be a fully optioned 2006 Accord Euro (TSX) in Arctic Blue Pearl.
All I have to do now is wait patiently for around 6 weeks, feeling like a bogan in the Holden Commodore I'm currently driving.
Did I mention I was excited? Just thought I'd share that with you all!
