| Heater/ Stereo issues NoOne 07:15:02 |
| | Hi all, I have a problem with my ’91 Integra.
After installing an aftermarket stereo, I have had problems with the power to it cutting out when I turn on the heater blower, are these 2 systems somehow connected? it doesn’t seem to be a fuse issue. Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

| best shocks for lowered integra Kclandy 19:03:02 |
| | I recently bought a 96 integra and the guy had lowered it using adjustable coilovers. THis was really hard on the factory shocks and they are shot.
I need to get new shocks but I know little in the way of the shock. My car is super bouncy and bottoms out all the time. I want a good shock that will work with my adjustable coilovers and isn't $$$$.
What should I buy? and how can I stop myself from hitting the roof on every little pothole I run over?!

| Putting 15" Winter Wheels & Tires on a 2001 RL Wine Buff 15:08:45 |
| | I'm near the first winter for my recently acquired RL which has the stock 215/60 R16 wheels on it. Would any of you know if 15" wheels with a corresponding tire size would fit? On my Maxima I can put 15" wheels to replace the 17" summer tires and given the better snow performance and lower cost of the 15" tires, I'd like to know if that's possible with the RL.
TIA.

| Acura 2000 3.2TL w/Navi - Questions - XM Radio Fsj 06:08:26 |
| | Hello All,
I will be a first time Acura owner this coming Saturday. I purchased a 2000 3.2TL off of ebay with 107k on the clock. This is being purchased from an Acura dealer and is coming with it's service records. Apparently $1,400 was just recently spent on the Timing Belt, Water Pump, Motor Mount, and I am guessing a general tune up at a Honda Dealer.
Now the question's that I have if any fellow owners or those that can lend some insight would be so kind to answer.
1. Is there anything I should watch out for? 2. XM Wise is there any unit that will interface with the stereo that will provide XM radio? 3. I would be intrested hearing mileage that owners have reached so far on their vehicles.
Ok thanks everyone,
FSJ

| Re: R12 to R134 Conversion - a box of rocks? Art M 07:47:36 |
| | I haven't made a decission yet, but I was in PepBoys today so I thought I'd check out their kit. Nothing on the floor so I ask an employee. He has no idea what I'm talking about so he attempts to look it up on the computer, but he can't find it there. I ask him if he knows where any little cans that read "R134a" are. That worked. They are practically right behind him on an endcap behind the counter. I see the kit so I tell him "there it is on the right" (we're both facing the endcap), but he looks more towards the left. I correct him, "on the right". He moves further left. Obviously I had made the mistake of not telling him it was on his other right. From there it was almost a game of warmer/colder.

| Bad o2 sensor or cat Adam Stouffer 06:22:36 |
| | According to the blinking light my 96 Integra its telling me the cat is operating below efficiency. Here in the great state of PA we need emissions tests every year and next month is time for mine. Is there a way to tell if the o2 sensors are bad or a new cat is really needed? I don't feel like paying for a new cat.
O2 sensors output a voltage that the computer reads, correct? I wonder if the voltage starts to drop off it will say the sensor is bad. Maybe make a voltage divider to fool the computer?

| NSX Door Lock Enigma Russell Lombardo 03:21:39 |
| | I've noticed on my 1997 NSX that if I lock my doors using the interior power lock switch that I can only open the door with the key. The remote device will not unlock the doors.
Of course, if I use the remote to lock the doors, it will also unlock them.
Does anyone know why this occurs? Was it some additional security measure?
Thanks,
- Russ

| After market Nav systems Skip 04:25:42 |
| | I spoke with an Acura dealer today. She indicated that there is an aftermarket Nav system that also can provide traffic reports. It is somehow connected to either to XM or some other part of the existing Acura audio system. Any ideas as to what she is talking about and an associated hyper link?

I used one of those kits to do the conversion on a '79 Toyota Cressida and > it worked fine, but I don't know if the success varies depending on the > system being converted.> I certainly don't need the AC now, but I'm also wondering if it would be > better to restore it to operation now rather than leave it as is for the > winter.> Thanks.> --Art> Going to 134 with existing components is a waste of time and money. If your 12 system leaked down, then you have to find out why before you do anything anyhow. When you do, fix it and refill it with Freeze-12 and you'll be a happy camper.

I bought a $9 set at the parts store and found out it would open its mouth around a nut if it was too tight. As a result, nuts were getting rounded off. I ended up buying a Craftsman set (around $20) and left the old set, all lined up nicely, over a car in the junkyard. Think of it as passing the curse around ;)
