This brings the question of what's next in line?

Am I better off with a 100K 1998 ranger or s10, a 96 100K Durango, or

an early 90's 150K+ Toyota or Nissan Pickup?

Just bought some front and rear tow hooks. First time Jeep owner.

Anyone know of a site that has the install directions...diagra­m etc.?

Ok Here's my story...

Bought a 1989 XJ for $700.00 so I expected problems and am not

complaining.

Day after I got it, the clutch went out. I took it to my friendly

firestone shop who put in a new clutch and a new radiator (the old

radiator had a broken neck where the hose hooked into it)

Ever since then the thing acts like it is starving for fuel. I

accelerate and it missed bad. Now when I come to a stop and depress

the clutch the engine dies.

I took it back to Firestone and they said they did not do anything

other than replace the clutch.

My fuel pump is very loud by the way. I don't know if that is because

of the pump or the fact that there is no carpet or pad in the cargo

area.

Here's what I have done:

New TPS

New clutch

New radiator

tune up (plugs/cap/wires/ro­tor)

replaced the ballast resistor

What could it be? Where should I start looking?

It seems electrical... it may run fine and then I start up a hill or

down a hill (change angle of the vehicle) and it starts right back up

again. Like maybe a wire is grounding out.

I am in the market for a Jeep cover, tire cover, replacement front

bumper and grill cover. I might get some fog lights too. Anyone know

of a place for one stop shopping for those items? Also are there

license plate brackets that fit on the replacement tubular bumpers so

I will have a place for my front license plate? TIA

Hi,I was having problems with my fuel filter so I changed It.Ran good

for about a week,but now it seems it is still not getting any

fuel.Toyota dealership said fuel pumps in the old toyota's are pretty

reliable.What else could it be?I greatly appreciate any feedback.

All of the fuse links under the hood look good. The green/white wires

to each side marker light are now disconnected because the lights fell

off. There in one blue/white wire fuse link disconnected by the

battery. Not sure where it goes.

I have been having some issues with a whirring noise in the rear end

of my TJ. I assumed that it was the transfer case so I tore that down

and opened it up and found no issues. So upon further inspection I

spun the rear axle shaft and it spun freely with the wheels on the

ground?????

I proceeded to tear off the diff cover and noticed that the bolts have

sheared off the ring gear. There were several bolts laying in the

bottom of the differential case.

So my questions are... why would this happen? Can I just replace the

ring and pinion and that will be the fix. I was not 4 wheeling or

abusing the vehicle, but it does have 120000 miles on it.

But on its first long trip, oil pressure began to steadily drop

to 0.6 bar per 1000 rpm over 12 hours of driving.

Oil pressure mostly corrects itself as soon as engine cools

down. Does this mean I should install an oil cooler?
