'04 Chevy Z71 Leveling kit

Does any one have info on Chevy leveling kits that use reindexed
torsion bar keys? I have heard that cranking stock torsion bars will
wear out the front end faster. Will new keys keep it from happening.
Any suggestions would help.

AFAIK, the main thing with cranking up torsion bars is that the
geometry changes and that alters steering charactistics. As well, you
get less 'up' travel in the wheels. Wear? Possibly, but that is
secondary. Will new keys fix the problem(s)--probably not, since no
matter what you are doing to get it up (sorry) the effects are the
same.

Best fix is a lift kit. You could try tweeking the torsion bars, but
not too much unless front-end warranty is unimportant to you.

Depends on how much you like the factory warrantee. Oh ANYTHING you do
with the bars up/down will require a front end alignment. Easier to drop
the rear end.

In general you will get increased CV joint (& boot) wear as well as
increased idler arm (and pitman arm and/or steering box wear - probably
pretty minor though) because of the reasons already mentioned. My '91
k2500 was raised this way by a previous owner. Im wondering if it has
contributed to the premature ball joint wear the truck has experienced.
If you want to raise the truck, it's going to cost $$$ one way or another.

Uh, sorry, that's 'down' travel, not up travel.
